もちろんSerum自体にはモデリングの機構が備わっていませんが、おそらくKarplus-Strongの代用としてのフィルタモードやコムフィルタを使用することで、弦楽器、リード、打楽器を模倣していると思われます。サンプルをウェーブテーブル化しているわけでもないし、Noiseオシレータ用に波形を用意したわけでも（たぶん）ないので、プリセットデータのファイルサイズは極小でしょう。
